It simply means the feature that is available for selecting a particular membership category. Free ad listing is available to all our platform users. Your ads remain on the site for 90 Days before they are automatically deleted or until you deactivate them.

Please note that you can always update your ad if you haven't sold your item.

Posting your products and services is easy.

  1. Go to sign in to your account or click register if you don’t have an account.
  2. Click post ad
  3. Fill in the necessary information. Remember to select the right category for your product and services, state clear title of your ad, clearly describe what your offering, and enter the price and other features. If you believe that you have done a great job, then click the submit button.

As soon as you click the submit button, we will be notified to review your ad posting. It is important to note that we review every ad posting to ensure that it meets our marketplace rules and guidelines. If after reviewing the ad listing there is something wrong, we will contact you via email so that you can do the right thing and resubmit for another review. If everything checks out okay, your ad listing will go live.

To get started, make sure that you have logged in to your buyer’s account. If you don’t have an account, simply click here.  Having an account enables you to have access to all the features such as contacting sellers via messages, leaving reviews and so on.

You can start by

  1. Using our search features to search for anything. Here, you can filter by categories, prices, verification badges, location, etc.
  2. Contacting the seller to discuss about the price or you can simply use our chat, email or phone button to tell the seller why you are contacting him or her. Making an offer opens up the messaging channel so that you can ask the necessary questions and get answers from the seller. You can simply pick the seller's phone number and call directly so that you can arrange a business meeting face to face, negotiate the price, etc.
  3. Taking your item. At this point, you must have agreed on the place, price or any method that the seller agreed to get the product to you. It is important to note that we verify our sellers but it will be okay to check the seller again and always meet in a public place so that you can be safe.
  4. Leaving feedback. What was your experience like after taking your item? Tell other users by leaving reviews in the review section. Reviews help other buyers understand who the seller is, his or her approach to customers, and so on. Help your fellow buyer today!

Your safety is paramount to us so if you suspect any illegal activity on the platform, simply click the “report abuse” button and our dedicated team will look into the claim.

If your claim is right, we will block and delete the seller immediately. We encourage you to look out for other users by reporting any suspicious activities so that we can have a secure marketplace for business minded people. Thank you.

Marketplace according to OFAyes is an online platform dedicated to connecting buyers and sellers to conduct businesses online without leaving the comfort of their room. See it as instead of going to Monday-Monday market to sell or buy anything, you can simply use your phone or laptop with an internet connection to search, filter, talk with sellers, negotiate and so on when you are good with the price and every other thing, you can get your item. Simple. Right? OFAyes is a marketplace dedicated to reducing the stress of going to your local market.

The simple answer is NO. we simply exist to connect buyers and sellers and once they agree to do business with each other, the seller handles the selling and delivery and collects his or her money without giving us a dime. We are simply a ground where buyers and sellers stand to conduct businesses.

We don’t have a delivery but you can discuss it with the seller and arrange for a convenient means to deliver your item.

I created an account and posted an ad on OFAyes but I can’t find it. Why?

You have done your part by posting an ad on OFAyes but why you can’t find your ad could be because it is under review. We review every ad posted on our platform to make sure that it doesn’t violates the marketplace rules and regulations. You can find your ad in the My Listing section if you wish to make changes but for any changes, it will go through a review again.

How do I get more customers?

  1. Follow ads listing tips. While creating your account for the first time, you must have noticed quick tips that suggest best tittle, description, images recommendations. We added these tips because we have studied the industry standards and we know what works better. For instance, buyers will go for clear and well-taken pictures more than the blurred ones.
  2. Make your potential customer feel safe. Ensuring a risk-free advert gets you more customers. For instance, instead of asking for payment before delivery, you can assure the customer that its payment after inspection and delivery.
  3. Look out for your customer messages. Don’t make your customers wait for hours and remember that you are not the only one on the OFAyes marketplace. Those sellers who stay in touch sell more than those who don’t.
  4. Consider doing everything possible for good ratings. Other customers look out for sellers with good ratings and reviews. To get a good review, make sure that you are polite and always deliver on your promise. Imagine a review that says that you don’t have manners and you don’t sell quality products and one that says you have a good customer approach and you sell quality products. It's not magic, even you will go for the seller with good reviews
  5. Go for O.P.P. OPP stands for OFAyes Premium Packages. These are premium services that ensures that you sell 10X faster than your competition. Your product and services will be on either the front page, sponsored or featured page and with our AI-powered system, it will be shown to the users based on their interests and behavior. What does a “Verified” Badge mean?

This is a Badge that appears on the seller’s OFAyes profile and their adverts. It simply means that the seller has verified his or her account with approved documents.

In our effort to ensure a secure and safe marketplace, sellers must verify their accounts before they can access all features that exist on the platform.

A seller who wishes to get their account verified by our system must submit any government issue documents and we will review it and get their account verified. A verified account means that we have conducted a KYC and the seller meets all the requirements to do business on the OFAyes marketplace.

Note that government-issued documents include NIN slip/card, international passport, and Driver’s license. The information on any of these documents must tally with the name used while creating your account or while verifying your account.

KYC simply mean Know-Your-Customer. It is a process of verifying users to authenticate their submitted documents.

How long does the “verified” badge last on my profile and advert?

The “Verified” badge is available to users with OFAyes Premium Package and it stays as long as your premium package is active.

It is important to note that free membership package seller can get their account verified by passing the KYC but the badge will not appear on your profile and advert until you upgrade to any of our OFAyes Premium Packages. To learn more about our premium packages, click here

 

Posting ads

I clicked “post ad” What is next?

Getting to this level means that you have filled in the required fields and your ad will be up for a review. If it's in line with our rules and regulations, the ad will go live.

Next, you will get an email notification that your ad is live or requires attention.

Again, you can manage your Ads in the My Ads section. Note that you can make changes to your ad anytime but it will go through a fresh review,

Finally, you can close or delete your ad anytime. Click the remove button to close and delete your ad. It is important to close your ad when your goods are sold.

What are the posting rules on OFAyes?

Our posting rules are aimed at making sure the sellers and buyers feel safe, conduct business and benefit from what the marketplace has to offer. These are the rules.

  1. Sellers must add a clear and precise title. E.g. Used a Nokia phone.
  2. Enter a clear and brief description of products and services.
  3. Your phone must be unique and contain no contact information or watermarks. Unique here means that it must be taken by you and represent the products or services you are posting.
  4. You must select the category and subcategory that your product or service belongs to. If it’s a vehicle, select the vehicle and the type of vehicle, etc.
  5. Set your price accordingly.
  6. You must enter correct and active contact details.
  7. If you are in Nigeria, you must select Nigeria as the country where the product is, and select the state accordingly.
  8. You must only post legally permitted products and services.
  9. You must not publish different products and services as ONE. In other words, 1 advert equals 1 product. For instance, if you have a black Nokia 3310 and a White Nokia 3310 to sell, you must post them as separate items. If our system detects identical products and services, it will be rejected and removed.

What are prohibited products and services on OFAyes?

Prohibited products and services on OFAyes as basically anything that is legally permitted to be posted in public space. 

They include:

  • Narcotics, steroids, and any drugs or medications that require a prescription from a licensed medical specialist
  • Weapons
  • Restricted military/police items
  • Human organs
  • Illegal/pirated copies
  • Stolen property
  • Code-grabbing and lock-picking devices
  • Electronic equipment prohibited by the law
  • Sexually-oriented services
  • Loans, money transactions, Bitcoin, various gift cards
  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid, and matrix programs
  • Network marketing and “Home Base Business” jobs
  • Products (goods or services) prohibited to sell by the law, in particular:
  • Food, processed food, water, soft drinks, spirit drinks, medical devices, drugs, drug products, cosmetics, chemicals, agrochemicals, pesticides, veterinary drugs, or other goods if they have not been registered with the National Agency for Food & Drug Administration and Control (the “NAFDAC”) or other relevant authority of Nigeria;
  • Any goods, sale, distribution, or advertising of which is banned or restricted by the NAFDAC or any other relevant authority of Nigeria;
  • Any goods, sale, distribution or advertising of which is prohibited by applicable legislation of Nigeria;
  • Any goods that do not comply with standards and quality requirements imposed on such goods by applicable legislation of Nigeria;
  • Any goods that are represented on the label or described as a treatment, preventative, or cure for diseases, disorders, or abnormal physical states specified by applicable legislation of Nigeria.
  • Trophies and wildlife specimens (including but not limited to ivory artefacts and pangolin parts) in relation to which trade is prohibited by applicable legislation.

My ad was not approved. Why?

We may not approve your ad to go live for the following reasons

  1. You posted different products and services as one
  2. Your title and description are not clear
  3. Your image is not unique and has watermarks
  4. You entered irrelevant prices
  5. And finally, you broke our posting rules or posted prohibited products and services.

We normally reach out to you to make sure that you make some changes and resubmit your ad for another review.

I want to share my active ads on social media platforms. Am I free?

Oh yes! You are free to share your ad on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc. to get your products and services in front of your followers and audience. To get the link, go to the share button and grab your link.

I want to pay. Before or after?

We are ground that sellers and buyers stand to do business. We simply connect you and the seller just like every other marketplace out there. You cannot rely on promises made by people so it is recommended that you pay when you must have inspected the products and services. In a simple term, PAY AFTER!

How can I avoid being scammed?

Experience is the best teacher but if you have not been taught or are not well taught, this is what you should look out for to stay safe:

  1. Check other people's feedback and reviews about a seller.
  2. Make sure you pay money after receiving the products and services.
  3. Use your common sense because some things are too good to be true.
  4. Always inspect products and services before payment.
  5. Guard your sensitive information such as financial information.
  6. Read security tips and familiarize yourself with popular scammers' tactics.

Yes. Sellers provide their contact information during registration and product and service listing. You can contact the seller via phone number, inbuilt chat system, email and WhatsApp.

Approved URLs include specific websites; general or unlisted URLs may lead to ad listing denial or account restrictions.

Navigate to Account Options>Settings > Password. Type your new Password, retype to confirm the password, and click Save Changes.  Kindly manage and protect your password to secure your account.
